Late Brigadier (R) Rashid Ali Malik founded Security 2000 in 1995 and served as its President and CEO for 22 years. He retired from the Pakistan Army after 32 years of service including five years as Director General of the Pakistan Airports Security Force. He was a qualified security consultant and appointed Chairman of the All Pakistan Security Agencies Association in 2010 & 2012. He was well known in international security circuits where he served in advisory capacity on a number of Boards. Brigadier (R) Rashid Ali Malik was a sought after speaker at international conferences, seminars and media talk shows on the War on Terror in particular and Security & Safety issues confronting businesses and Governments in general. For 4 years in the early 1990s was a member of the International Committee to handle Unlawful Interference (Terrorism), ICAO Canada. He was selected within the International WHO’s WHO of Professionals in 1999 and International Association of Business Leaders in 2002. He was member of the American Society of Industrial Security for over 15 years. Awarded the prestigious International Security Professional of the Year award in Moscow in 2004. He went on to serve as Chairman and President of the World Association of Detectives in 2009 and 2010. In September, 2013 he was selected to be a life member of the International Association of Chiefs of Police which has over 30,000 members from 100 countries.

While in service Brigadier (R) Rashid Ali Malik earned 13 Army medals for War and Peace time Service and 2 Commendations from Chief of Army Staff. These included the Tamgha-e-Basalat for Gallantry during Peace and Sitara-e-Imtiaz for Distinguished Service. In 1988 he commanded the Pakistan National Day Parade at Rawalpindi. He captained the Pakistan Army and later National basketball teams and received 20 gold medals including the Army Chief Gold Medal in recognition for his sportsmanship. Brigadier (R) Rashid Ali Malik a proud 3rd generation Army man passed away on October the 1st, 2017. He will be remembered forever for his invaluable contribution towards Pakistan Army and Private Security.
